electronic signature

A mechanism for attaching the signature of the creator and/or approver to an electronic document.

They include handwritten signatures using PADs and digital signatures based on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
They are equivalent to signatures and seals on paper documents, and range from those equivalent to the level of a registered seal based on the Act on Electronic Signatures and Certification Business to a personal seal or an official seal, which can be used relatively easily.
