certified copy

A document that is an exact copy of an original document and certified as identical to the original document in actual practice.
(= One at a level where it can be submitted as formal evidence in court, etc.)

The original meaning is a copy of all matters entered in the original document (a partial copy is an extract); however, in practice, it is used to mean a certified copy.
